EVENT RESCHEDULED TO MARCH 10th AT 7:00PM

The College Board has announced that it is discontinuing SAT Subject Tests and the SAT Essay! What does this mean for your student? What do you need to know — and what mistakes should you avoid — in college planning, starting in 9th grade?

GC-SAGE invites our community to a virtual session called “Why Top Students Don’t Get Into Top Colleges” with college consultant Susan Goodkin — a virtual event on Wednesday, March 10th, at 7:00 p.m.

How to attend:

Pre-Registration is required. We will email the Zoom link to you on the day of the event.

About the Speaker:

College consultant Susan Goodkin helps students across the country get accepted to their dream schools. Last year alone, Susan had 16 students admitted to the Ivies and Stanford. Many of her students are also accepted at selective colleges including MIT, Cal Tech, Duke, U. Chicago, Vanderbilt, Berkeley, Rice, Northwestern, Johns Hopkins and more. Susan is a graduate of Harvard University, Harvard Law School, and Oxford University, where she was a Rhodes Scholar.

Program Highlights:

We’ll discuss what you need to know and what mistakes to avoid in college planning, starting in 9th grade. We’ll cover topics including:

  • Curriculum
  • Testing (lots of changes this year that will impact future applicants)
  • Extracurricular activities (this is where I see people making the biggest mistakes!)
  • College applications, including essays
  • Application options (options like ED 2, which didn’t exist when we applied, can radically impact your student’s chances of getting in)
  • Plus a Q and A!

What Parents Say About Susan’s Talk:
