The gifted world is a world of extremes, where passions and talents and knowledge are heightened. Regardless of a child’s gifted profile (see The Gifted Gamut) s/he will have social & emotional needs that are just as heightened and extreme.
This workshop highlights the current research in social/emotional categories, including the gifted profiles, overexcitabilities, perfectionism and mindset. We’ll focus on things that teachers can say, do, and read to better acknowledge, support, and nurture students with these heightened social/emotional needs.
