SSAGE (Supporting and Advocating for Gifted Education) invites you to a Coffee Chat about measuring student growth. How does assessment data help ensure that your gifted student achieves proper learning growth each year? Start your morning with SAGE on Wednesday, October 18 at our first Coffee Chat of the year. We’ll provide coffee — and you’ll hear from Shannon Tovar, Director of Continuous Improvement and Accountability for GCISD, about the different ways students are evaluated for learning growth, including PSAT for students in 8th and above, iStation in elementary grades, and the state’s accountability ranking of schools.

If you have questions you would like to submit in advance, please email them to SAGE by Friday, October 13, via loganjohna@yahoo.com.

Admission is free for SAGE members’ families and $5 at the door for non-members. More information is at http://gc-sage.org
