TAGT’s Emerging Leaders Program recently hosted a panel discussion about Parent and Community Involvement. You can learn more about the Emerging Leaders program at TXgifted.org.

Panelists included Todd Kettler, Associate Professor at Baylor University; Kim Farbisz, President of the Gifted Education Family Network; Jamie Weatherall, President of GC-SAGE (Grapevine-Colleyville ISD parent association); Michelle Swain, Director of Gifted and Advanced Academic Services in Round Rock ISD; and Pam Johnson, Coordinator of Advanced Academics in Pasadena ISD.

It was an honor to discuss how to establish and maintain successful parent and community partnerships. GC-SAGE and GCISD continue to serve as a model for the power of a healthy partnership for districts across Texas.
