SAGE honors Mrs. Kathy Griffin, GT Specialist at O.C. Taylor Elementary School  as the February SAGE Educator of the Month.

Mrs. Griffin was nominated by a SAGE member who said:  “Mrs. Griffin is truly an amazing educator. She is able to integrate the remote learners into the GT classroom seamlessly. My remote learner still feels as though she is a vital, contributing member of the learning community, even though she is not physically in the room with other learners. Mrs. Griffin makes a point to acknowledge each remote learner by name, and to make sure that the in-person and remote kids feel “seen.” She knows that Mrs. Griffin loves her and cares for her just as much as she does the in-person students. In addition to guiding a classroom full of in-person and remote learners, she also facilitates testing, coordinates with teachers, and assists parents and students. I am truly grateful for everything Mrs. Griffin has done and will continue to do for my daughter and the other students, parents, and teachers at OC Taylor. She is the best.”

Thank you Mrs. Griffin for your dedication, innovation, and tireless work, and congratulations on behalf of SAGE!
